Job summary

Marlowe (a part of Mitie) is recruiting a Water Technician to operate, maintain and monitor water treatments for our customers. The role ensures water is safe and compliant with regulations, supporting core business functions and following all method statements and safety rules.

We offer 40 hours per week, Edinburg location, and real Living Wage employment. Applicants must have TMV experience, a valid UK licence, and strong time-keeping and ethics.

Qualifications

• Level 1 technician tasks and responsibilities.
• TMV valve servicing (failsafe and full strip-down).
• Sampling of domestic systems with accurate lab submission.
• Excellent time-keeping, strong work ethics and cultural awareness.
• Valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Complete allocated jobs within the agreed timescales.
• Complete all necessary documentation in real time.
• Limit audit failures to no more than two per year.
• Clean cooling towers and tanks, inspect tanks and flush outlets.
• Monitor temperatures, sample domestic systems and descale showers.

ROLE: Water Technician

We're looking for a Water Technician who will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and monitoring of water treatments for our customers. This role ensures that water is safe and meets regulatory standards. The position will support the key functions of the business by providing services as and when required, and by carrying out tasks allocated in accordance with all method statements and the fundamental rules of Marlowe Environmental Services.

Role Responsibilities

• Complete allocated jobs within the agreed timescales.
• Complete all necessary documentation accurately and submit on the electronic system in live time.
• Must not exceed more than 2 audit failures per year.
• Cleaning of cooling towers and tanks (2nd man), tank inspections, and flushing of little-used outlets.
• Temperature monitoring, sampling of domestic systems, and descaling and cleaning of showers and shower heads.

Required Qualifications: applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

• Undertake all tasks of a level 1 technician.
• TMV valve servicing (both failsafe and full strip-down).
• Sampling of domestic systems and accurate submission to the laboratory.
• Excellent time-keeping, demonstrate sound work ethics, and be respectful with cultural awareness.
• Valid UK driving licence.
