Job summary

Equans is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with water bias to join our Westminster, London team. This full-time role offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

You will perform maintenance on mechanical and water-related systems, respond to reactive call-outs, and collaborate with supervisors and subcontractors to ensure high-quality service while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• L8 qualified with City and Guilds or equivalent NVQ in plumbing and mechanical engineering.
• Practical with good common sense and ability to work well with diverse teams.
• Full clean driving licence plus current or ability to gain CTC clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems including domestic and closed water systems, plumbing, air conditioning, and pressure systems
• Provide first line response to reactive call-outs, ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with approved codes of practice
• Assist with building fabric and electrical systems maintenance as required
• Collaborate with engineering supervisor and specialist subcontractors to deliver high quality service
