Job summary

United Utilities is offering an Integrated Water Management Internship to support planning and delivery of sustainable water management in the North West. You will work with an Integrated Water Manager, use GIS to analyse data, and help prepare reports and workshop materials.

Ideal candidates have a 2:1 in an environmentally focused degree and strong analytical and communication skills, with a keen interest in Catchment Systems Thinking.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:1 in an environmentally focused degree (Geography, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or Natural Science).
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and data interpretation.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication across multiple stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

• Create and digitise new spatial datasets representing data geographically.
• Analyse spatial data using GIS and present visuals to stakeholders.
• Identify collaborative opportunities through spatial analysis and data.
• Run queries, generate reports and produce slide pack materials on time.
• Update Partnership Opportunity Pipeline with new or progressing opportunities.
• Support workshops with data analysis and materials preparation.
• Identify additional datasets to support analysis and maintain programme data catalogue.
