Job summary

United Utilities is offering an internship in their Network Modelling Team. You will learn how the network operates and contribute to modelling using industry tools, gaining insights into hydraulic modelling, data analytics and digital technologies.

From day one you will own pieces of work, receive guidance from engineers, and help drive continuous improvements in modelling capabilities to support operational teams and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Analyse network performance using industry software to solve challenges
• Collaborate with operational teams to investigate issues and root causes
• Apply engineering/analytical skills to optimise network performance
• Identify trends from data and provide evidence-based recommendations
• Produce clear technical reports and present modelling results
• Develop, maintain, and run hydraulic network models for scenarios
• Work with engineers, operations and asset teams on complex challenges
• Contribute to innovative projects and continuous modelling improvements
