Job summary

Ross-Shire Engineering Limited in Inverness is seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join our Chemical and Wastewater Solutions team on a permanent basis. You will work with a multi-disciplinary group to develop technically complex products and industry solutions, creating detailed drawings and parametric models.

You will use Inventor or SolidWorks, adhere to engineering drawing standards, maintain document control, and manage timescales against project programmes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in CAD Technician, CAD Designer, Draughtsperson or similar role.
• Experience using Inventor or SolidWorks is beneficial.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings and drawing standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Creating detailed 2D Technical drawings and 3D CAD models from engineering concepts and specifications.
• Work closely with multi-disciplinary Design Engineers to develop and refine designs.
• Making design modifications and updating existing drawings and models.
• Ensuring drawings are accurate, clear and produced to the required standards.
• Maintaining drawings and document control to ensure designs are kept up to date.
• Independently work and manage timescales against project programmes.
