Job summary

RSE in Inverness is seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join our Chemical and Wastewater Solutions team on a permanent basis. You’ll work with a multi-disciplinary design group on technically complex projects, developing detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models.

The role requires precise engineering drawing knowledge, familiarity with Inventor or SolidWorks, and the ability to manage drawings and timelines to meet project programmes. Hybrid working available where applicable.

Qualifications

• Experience as CAD Technician, CAD Designer or Draughtsperson or similar.
• Experience using Inventor or SolidWorks is beneficial.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and drawing standards.
• Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach.
• UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models from concepts and specs.

What Are We Looking For?

Our Chemical and Wastewater Solutions business platform is hiring an experienced CAD Technician to join on a permanent basis in Inverness. You’ll be working as part of a new and innovative team that will focus on the development of exciting products and industry solutions. You’ll partner with experienced Designers across a multi-disciplinary team and have the opportunity to work on technically complex and challenging projects.

Some Of Your Key Duties Include

• Creating detailed 2D Technical drawings and 3D CAD models from engineering concepts and specifications.
• Work closely with our multi-disciplinary Design Engineers to develop and refine designs.
• Making design modifications and updating existing drawings and models.
• Ensuring drawings are accurate, clear and produce to the required standards.
• Maintaining drawings and document control to ensure designs are kept up to date.
• Independently work and manage timescales against project programmes.

What Do You Need?

• Previous experience of working in a CAD Technician, CAD Designer, Draughtsperson or similar role.
• Experience of using Inventor or SolidWorks is beneficial.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings and drawing standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
• UK Driving Licence
