Job summary

AtkinsRéalis UK Limited is seeking a highly experienced Technical Director – Electrical Engineer for the UK Water sector. You will lead technical excellence, governance, and client engagement across water and wastewater projects, including AMP8 opportunities, with a focus on sustainable, resilient, and whole-life value solutions.

The role requires Chartered Engineer status and a track record of delivering complex multidisciplinary projects, with leadership in bidding and business development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with Chartered status.
• Experience leading electrical engineering in water/wastewater projects.
• Proven ability to win work and grow client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic technical leadership and project oversight across water and wastewater programmes.
• Act as technical authority for electrical engineering and guide multidisciplinary teams.
• Lead bidding strategies and major proposals for growth in the UK water sector.
• Develop senior engineers and foster a high-performing, collaborative culture.
