Job summary

Vantage Consulting seeks an experienced Civil Section Engineer to support a major water project in Leicester. The role focuses on providing technical guidance to the site team and coordinating with the Project Manager and QS. You will review drawings, advise on construction methods, monitor quality and ensure delivery to specification, with a strong civil background and water-sector experience. This is a 6-month, contract, site-based position paying £300-£400 per day.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree/qualification is essential.
• Experience in water-sector projects is required.
• Experience as Section Engineer/Site Engineer on water projects is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide civil engineering advice and technical support to the site team.
• Work closely with the Project Manager and QS throughout the project.
• Advise on construction methodology, engineering issues and site delivery.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Support the resolution of technical queries and site issues.
• Monitor engineering quality and ensure works are delivered to specification.
• Liaise with designers, subcontractors and site management.
• Provide guidance and technical input across the project.
