Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Water Sector Lead to drive growth across Environment & Energy Europe, with a focus on the UK & Ireland in 2027. You will shape the sector strategy, build strategic client relationships, and position Environment & Energy as a partner of choice in the market.

Reporting to the EUR&I Strategy & Growth Director and a member of the Sales Senior Leadership Team, you’ll lead pursuits, manage risk, and align multi-disciplinary teams to win and deliver major water projects across

Qualifications

Demonstrated success in leading business development and growth within the Water sector in a consultancy or professional services environment.
Strong knowledge of the Water sector dynamics, clients, emerging areas and key competitors.
Proven ability to build and maintain high-value client relationships at senior levels.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate a vision into practical action plans.
Seasoned capture manager with the ability to position for and secure key opportunities.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership for the sector, setting priorities and aligning activities to Environment & Energy Europe objectives with a focus on UK and Ireland in 2027.
Maintain knowledge of market drivers, competitive landscape, and opportunities; anticipate future needs from an Environment & Energy perspective.
Act as the figurehead for the sector, representing AECOM at industry events and client forums to raise our profile.
Lead development and implementation of a sector-specific growth plan and client engagement strategies.
Build and maintain strategic client relationships, fostering trust and repeat business.
Drive bid leadership and win strategy to optimise win rate and secure key opportunities.
