AECOM is seeking a Water Sector Lead to champion growth across Europe, with a strong focus on the UK & Ireland. You will shape the sector strategy, build high-value client relationships, and position Environment & Energy as a partner of choice in the market.

The role requires senior leadership, international collaboration, and the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans, pursuing ambitious targets and cross‑disciplinary wins across the Water sector.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success in leading business development and growth within the Water sector in consultancy or professional services.
• Strong knowledge of Water sector dynamics, clients, and competitors.
• Proven ability to build and maintain high-value client relationships at senior levels.
• Strategic thinker able to translate vision into practical action plans.
• Seasoned capture manager with ability to position for and secure key opportunities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Experience in water sector-related technical delivery.
• Established industry profile to act as a thought leader.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic leadership for the sector, setting clear priorities aligned to Environment & Energy Europe with focus on UK & Ireland in 2027.
• Maintain deep knowledge of market drivers, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities.
• Represent AECOM at industry events, conferences and client forums to raise sector profile.
• Collaborate with regional leads to ensure sector representation in strategy, targets and pursuits.
• Lead development and implementation of growth plans, including client engagement and strategic initiatives.
• Build and maintain strategic client relationships across the sector.
• Coordinate with CAMs to align priorities and convert opportunities for YoY growth.
• Drive win strategy and bid leadership for strategic pursuits; act as Capture Manager for key opportunities.
• Accountable for achieving sector KPIs: bookings, revenue, client satisfaction.
• Maintain a complete, accurate opportunity pipeline with quarterly performance updates.
• Foster cross-BL collaboration for multi-disciplinary projects.
• Support priorities and campaigns (Advisory, Infrastructure Investment, Design & Build).
• Set the tone and culture across the sector; support delivery from a client leadership perspective.
• Explore AI's role in infrastructure delivery and client engagement to achieve outcomes.
