Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Water Sector Lead to serve as the primary ambassador for Water within Environment & Energy Europe. The role shapes growth strategy, builds strategic client relationships, and positions Environment & Energy as a partner of choice in the market.

The role reports to the EUR&I Strategy & Growth Director for EUR&I and sits on the Sales Senior Leadership Team, with a focus on UK and Ireland in 2027. Hybrid work model and international collaboration are key aspects.

Qualifications

• Proven success in leading business development and growth within the Water sector in a consultancy or professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of Water sector dynamics, clients, and competitors.
• Proven ability to build and maintain high-value client relationships at senior levels.
• Strategic thinker capable of translating vision into action plans.
• Seasoned capture manager able to position for and secure key opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the Water sector, aligning with EUR&I objectives with a UK/Ireland focus in 2027.
• Maintain knowledge of market drivers, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities.
• Represent AECOM at industry events and client forums to raise sector profile and demonstrate excellence.
• Collaborate with regional leads to ensure sector representation in strategy, targets and pursuits.
• Lead development of a sector growth plan with client engagement strategies and targeted pursuits.
• Build and maintain strategic client relationships to foster trust and repeat business.
• Drive bid strategy and resources, acting as Capture Manager for strategic opportunities.
• Achieve sector KPIs including bookings, revenue delivery, and client satisfaction.
