Job summary

AECOM in the UK is recruiting a Water Sector Lead to act as the external ambassador for Water within Environment & Energy Europe. You will shape growth strategy, build strategic client relationships and position AECOM as a partner of choice across UK, Ireland and Europe.

The role requires leadership in market profiling, stakeholder collaboration, and driving sector-wide initiatives, including bid leadership and cross-disciplinary collaboration, with a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Proven success in leading business development and growth within the Water sector.
• Deep knowledge of Water sector dynamics, clients and competitors.
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships at senior levels.
• Strategic thinker able to convert vision into practical action plans.
• Seasoned capture manager with ability to secure key opportunities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Experience in Water sector-related technical delivery.
• Established industry profile and ability to act as a thought leader.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the Water sector across EUR& I with UK/Ireland focus.
• Develop growth plans, client engagement strategies and frameworks.
• Build strategic client relationships and foster repeat business.
• Lead bid strategies, win themes and resource alignment for pursuits.
• Deliver quarterly sector performance updates to leadership.
• Collaborate across lines for multi-disciplinary projects.
• Support campaigns and thought leadership within Environment & Energy.
• Shape sector strategy to position AECOM as partner of choice.
