Job summary

Anglian Water Services is seeking a Field Technician in Water Recycling to protect the environment and maintain critical infrastructure. You will tackle issues such as blockages, odours, and incidents, delivering excellent service while complying with environmental standards.

The role includes standby out-of-hours work, a full driving license, and a 37-hour full-time schedule based around Cambridge and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Good IT literacy and ability to use handheld devices, mobile apps and digital systems to record work activities.
• Ability to work autonomously and use initiative.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills for interactions during disruptions.
• Full driving license is required; a 4.5 tonne license is advantageous.
• Willingness to work outside in all weathers and physical outdoors work.

Responsibilities

• Operate a high pressure water jetting unit and CCTV equipment to identify and promote repair work on the sewerage network.
• Investigate and provide first-time resolutions for sewerage issues faced by customers.
• Respond to incidents and carry out planned maintenance.
• Accurately record all site feedback in our IT systems.
• Predominantly lone working and daily engagement with internal and external customers.
