Job summary

Anglian Water in Cambridge is seeking a Field Technician for Water Recycling to safeguard the environment and maintain critical infrastructure. You will tackle issues in our network, including blockages, odours, flooding and incidents, delivering high service levels while complying with environmental standards.

You will join a standby roster with out-of-hours work and be trained on high-pressure jetting and CCTV equipment.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Good IT literacy to use handheld devices and digital systems.
• Ability to work autonomously with initiative.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Full driving license; 4.5 tonne license is advantageous.
• Able to work in confined spaces and at height; HAV checks may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a single-person high-pressure water jetting unit and CCTV equipment.
• Investigate and provide first-time resolutions for sewerage issues.
• Respond to incidents and complete planned maintenance work.
• Accurately record all site feedback in IT systems.
• Predominantly lone working with daily interactions with customers and colleagues.
