Water Quantity Surveyor – NEC Contract Expert

Job summary

Egis is recruiting a Water Quantity Surveyor for the UK P3M CM team to manage commercial aspects from feasibility through final account on national infrastructure programmes. You will apply NEC3/NEC4 contract knowledge, oversee cost reporting and forecasting, and collaborate with Project Managers and stakeholders to ensure value for money and robust commercial governance.

Role requires on-site four days a week, with mentoring of juniors and support for RICS chartership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in water, environment, infrastructure, defence or nuclear sectors.
• Strong knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts, especially Options A, C and E.
• Progress towards RICS Chartership (or equivalent).
• Experience managing project costs through the full lifecycle.
• Knowledge of CDM regulations and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Commercial & Contract Management: administer NEC3/NEC4 contracts, manage cost reporting and valuations, support payment certification, maintain records.
• Cost Planning & Procurement: feasibility studies, cost planning, tender support, identify commercial risks and mitigation.
• Project Delivery: monitor costs, support variations and final accounts, contribute to lessons learned.
• Business Growth: support bid/development activities and client relationships to strengthen the UK water presence.
