Job summary

Thames Water in Reading is seeking a Sampling Quality Technician to travel between sites, collect water samples from wastewater treatment sites, and work independently as part of a wider team.

You will manage sampling records, maintain equipment to industry standards, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure on-time sampling and SLA/KPI delivery. A clean driving licence is essential; experience in water sampling is desirable but not required.

Qualifications

• Full manual driving licence is essential.
• Experience in water or wastewater sampling is desirable but not essential.
• Experience working in a regulated environment (ISO17025, DWI, EA) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Travel between sites daily and work independently within a large geographical area.
• Collect water samples from wastewater treatment sites, including crude and treated sewage.
• Coordinate with internal teams to arrange site access and sampling schedules, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to SLA/KPI targets.
