Thames Water is seeking a Customer Water Quality Officer to work on the frontline, testing water samples across a wide area and representing the company to customers. The role involves travel between customer locations and sites, with sampling records and equipment kept to industry standards.

Internal title is Water Quality Technician. A clean UK driving licence is required, and the role offers 38 hours per week on a 26-week contract with potential weekend work after training.

Qualifications

• A clean, manual UK driving licence.
• Experience in a role that involves a lot of driving and direct customer interaction is beneficial.
• Confidence to carry out unplanned visits to residential and commercial properties.
• Good journey planning skills to work efficiently.
• Naturally organised and able to work independently while staying connected with the team.
• Attention to detail and pride in doing things properly.
• Interest in the water industry and willingness to learn.
• Good computer skills and confidence with everyday IT systems.

Responsabilités

• Travel between customer locations and sites as part of a busy field team.
• Test water samples and maintain sampling records and equipment to industry standards.
• Assist investigations into supply issues and customer complaints and help resolve problems quickly.
