Job summary

Anglian Water Group is recruiting for an Essential Sampling Sampler in the Norwich area. You will travel between sites, prepare sampling bottles, collect water samples, and transport them to the laboratory for analysis, ensuring quality and compliance with regulations.

A full UK driving licence is required, and the role includes shift work with a starting salary of £29,120 per annum plus shift allowance. A generous benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence required.
• Ability to follow procedures, safe working systems and risk assessments.
• Meet deadlines without compromising safety or quality.
• Customer-focused attitude with enthusiasm for delivering great service.
• Willingness to learn new IT systems (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Able to lift up to 25kg.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sampling bottles and collect samples from water treatment facilities, recycling centres, reservoirs, rivers and customer properties.
• Travel between sites and transport samples safely to the laboratory.
• Work independently and adapt to varying routes, sampling points and weather conditions.
• Represent Anglian Water at customer properties and trade sites, acting professionally and answering questions about the sampling process.
• Adhere to Health & Safety guidelines, lone working policy and ISO17025 procedures.
