Job summary

Anglian Water Group Ltd. is hiring for an Essential Sampling role in the Norwich area. You will follow a regulator-defined sampling program, collect samples, and transport them to our laboratories, acting as the face of the company at customer sites and trade locations.

You will travel between sites, work independently, and adhere to Health & Safety guidelines and ISO17025 standards, with a 4 days on/4 days off shift pattern and a starting salary of £29,120 per annum plus shift allowance.

Qualifications

• A full, valid UK manual driving licence and understanding of the challenges of occupational driving.
• Experience following procedures, safe working systems, and risk assessments.
• Ability to meet deadlines without compromising safety or quality.
• A customer-focused attitude with enthusiasm for delivering great service.
• Confidence to approach customers unannounced for water samples.
• Basic IT skills: Word, Excel, and Outlook, with a willingness to learn new systems.
• Comfortable with manual lifting up to 25kg.
• A scientific A-Level is desirable, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sampling bottles and gather samples according to the sampling program.
• Travel extensively between sites and transport samples to laboratories.
• Work independently; adapt to changing routes, sampling points and weather.
• Represent Anglian Water at customer properties and trade sites, maintaining professionalism.
