Job summary

South East Water in Farnborough is hiring a Compliance Sampler to protect public health by ensuring water quality meets regulatory standards. This six-month FTC field-based role starts early and travels to treatment works, service reservoirs and customer properties.

You will collect samples, perform on-site tests, enter data into LIMS, and report findings. A valid UK driving licence and reliable IT skills are essential; no prior sampling experience required.

Qualifications

• A valid driving licence is essential.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Strong customer service and ability to explain processes to customers.
• Comfortable using IT/computers.

Responsibilities

• Collect samples from treatment works, service reservoirs, and customer properties.
• Organise sampling routes and ensure timely delivery to laboratory or depot.
• Record sampling details in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Perform on-site tests and quality control checks.
• Identify improvements to sampling procedures to meet Water Quality Regulations and UKAS.
