Job summary

ExcelCS, part of Ipsum Group, is seeking a Project Manager for water projects, based at Colwyn Bay with UK travel and working away from home. The role covers day‑to‑day delivery, safety, and client liaison within the water sector.

The Delivery Manager will translate project plans into actionable daily activities, leading commissioning engineers and ensuring programme, cost, and quality targets are met across UK water schemes.

Qualifications

• Industry experience in water is ideal; gas acceptable; power/telecoms considered
• Commercial awareness (estimating, costs, understanding value)
• Experience managing site teams and operatives
• Recording tasks, progress, and site documentation
• Leadership capability
• Strong understanding of health & safety and permit systems
• Full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day site management across water and utilities schemes
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers (starting with 1-2 teams, progressing to 4-5)
• Maintain compliance with H&S, RAMS, permits, and company procedures
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications to produce accurate material take-offs
• Measure completed works against the Schedule of Rates for valuations and reporting
• Provide accurate progress information to support applications for payment
• Liaise with clients, inspectors, and internal management
• Monitor programme progress and report accurately
• Maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping, and documentation
