Job summary

Ipsum is recruiting a Junior Project Manager for water projects at our Colwyn Bay head office with UK travel. You will support the General Manager in delivering safe, on‑time, and compliant operational delivery across water utility schemes.

You will translate project plans into executable daily activities, lead delivery through engineering teams, and help identify risks affecting programme, cost, safety, or customer outcomes. A UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Water industry experience is ideal.
• Gas experience is acceptable; power/telecoms considered.
• Commercial awareness in estimating and costs.
• Experience managing site teams and operatives.

Responsibilities

• Support with day-to-day site management across water and utilities schemes.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
• Assist in managing site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers (1–2 teams, later 4–5).
• Maintain compliance with H&S, RAMS, permits, and procedures.
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications to produce material take-offs.
• Measure completed works against the Schedule of Rates for valuations and reporting.
• Provide progress information to support payment applications.
• Liaise with clients, inspectors, and internal management.
• Monitor programme progress and report accurately.
