Job summary

Ipsum Group is seeking a Delivery Manager – Water to lead safe, efficient delivery across water utility projects from our head office in Colwyn Bay with UK travel required. You will translate project plans into daily activities, enabling commissioning engineers and coordinating resources to meet programme, cost, and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Water industry experience preferred; gas acceptable; power/telecoms considered.
• Commercial awareness including estimating and costs.
• Experience managing site teams and operatives.
• Recording tasks, progress, and site documentation.
• Strong leadership capability and safety/permitting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day site management across water and utilities schemes.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers (starting with 1–2 teams, progressing to 4–5).
• Maintain compliance with H&S, RAMS, permits, and company procedures.
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications to produce accurate material take-offs.
• Measure completed works against the Schedule of Rates for valuations and reporting.
• Provide accurate progress information to support applications for payment.
• Liaise with clients, inspectors, and internal management.
• Monitor programme progress and report accurately.
• Maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping, and documentation.
