Zusammenfassung

Edge Careers is recruiting a Project Manager to lead water infrastructure projects across the Thames region from conception to delivery. You will steer multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets, timescales, quality and safety, and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires proven leadership, strong knowledge of the Water industry and M&E disciplines, plus commercial awareness and the ability to collaborate with internal staff and external consultants

Qualifikationen

• Proven leadership and management skills; ability to motivate teams to high standards.
• Excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality.
• Sound knowledge of the Water industry, particularly M&E disciplines.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to work with senior stakeholders to set and achieve targets.
• Effective negotiation and communication skills; build lasting relationships.
• Computer literacy including MS Project and Office software.

Aufgaben

• Oversee delivery of projects across design, engineering, construction, handover, and commercial phases.
• Ensure projects meet scope, programme, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction requirements.
• Implement risk and value engineering processes; identify risks and cost-saving opportunities.
• Lead, motivate, and support internal staff, consultants, and contractors.
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Provide project planning advice, recommendations, and progress updates to customers and stakeholders.
• Review and challenge budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting to ensure deliverable approaches.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, regularly reviewing performance.
• Implement management systems and procedures, ensuring compliance with statutory and legal requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement, service excellence, and best practice across projects.
• Manage project costs, ensuring accurate expenditure tracking and resource allocation.
• Review and approve management plans, health and safety plans, and work package plans.
• Support senior management with business planning, performance reviews, and bid development.
• Promote collaborative supplier relationships, monitoring and improving performance.
• Ensure all M&E services and installations are designed, built, and certified to required standards.
• Mentor and motivate project staff, ensuring performance issues are addressed and development supported.
