Job summary

Stantec Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer to contribute to process design solutions across clean water and wastewater projects in the UK. You will work within multidisciplinary teams, develop technical skills and take ownership of key aspects of project delivery.

You will perform calculations, prepare reports and support lifecycle documentation while collaborating with other engineers to deliver integrated and sustainable water solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in process engineering within water, wastewater, utilities or related sectors.
• Experience undertaking process calculations, mass balances, hydraulic assessments or treatment process design.
• Good understanding of water/wastewater treatment processes and engineering principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to develop practical engineering solutions.
• Good written and verbal communication skills within multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage your own technical tasks and contribute to project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop process design solutions for clean water and wastewater projects.
• Undertake process calculations, mass balances, hydraulic assessments and treatment process evaluations.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, drawings and other project deliverables.
• Support development and review of process design documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to site investigations, asset assessments and process optimisation studies.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, civil and environmental engineers to deliver integrated solutions.
• Engage with clients and project teams to translate challenges into practical engineering solutions.
• Support innovation and sustainable approaches to water and wastewater treatment.
