Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a Network Service Technician to join on a full-time, permanent basis. Based at Highworth and travelling between Thames Valley sites, you will resolve customer network issues and support projects to minimise disruption. Expect 38 hours per week with rota and a company van.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, strong customer service, and hands-on capability. Starting salary is £29,000 with a broader benefits scheme and pension.

Qualifications

• Full UK licence is required as staff travel between sites.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Enthusiastic, can-do attitude for field tasks.
• Ability to complete hands-on tasks independently to a high standard.
• Strong IT skills for reporting and systems use.
• Basic knowledge of domestic plumbing or water mains/leakage is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate and isolate water mains for planned or emergency works.
• Own and resolve customer queries and complaints at homes or workplaces.
• Support project work and leakage detection activities.
• Investigate and resolve network performance issues.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and water quality standards.
