Job summary

Thames Water is hiring a Project Support Technician to join the team at Walton-on-Thames. You will play a key role in supporting major and minor capital projects across London, delivering excellent customer service and handling network valve activities with minimal disruption to water supplies.

Role involves collaborating across teams, providing technical guidance, and contributing to performance meetings. A full UK driving licence is required; base location is Walton-on-Thames with a 38-hour

Qualifications

• Be a strong collaborator, building trust within teams and across siloes.
• Strong external customer service ethic with a proven track record of delivering improvement for internal and external customers.
• Proven experience in project or work coordination with the ability to communicate across stakeholders.
• An understanding of domestic plumbing, water mains and leakage detection.
• A water industry qualification in operating water networks, or an equivalent qualification.
• This role requires you to work autonomously as well as within a team.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Investigate the clean water network to resolve asset performance issues including pressure, leakage, metering queries and loss of supply.
• Communicate with stakeholders to ensure efficient completion of projects and maintenance programmes.
• Provide specialist technical advice to support first‑time completion of planned works.
• Attend and contribute to performance meetings to provide updates and highlight risks to delivery.
• Support the implementation of new technical systems and processes to improve PS team efficiency.
• Understand asset care plans and asset criticality, and produce scope of work packs on request.
• Engage with Health & Safety initiatives and share best practices.
