Job summary

South West Water, part of the Pennon Group, is seeking a Network Reporting Analyst in Exeter. You will support the performance, reporting and analysis of the water distribution network, delivering actionable insights and ensuring accuracy in regulatory reporting.

Working with operations and technical teams, you will help manage incidents, low-pressure events, and customer compensation schemes, while developing analytics to drive improvements and maintain high service standards.

Qualifications

  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above, including Maths and English.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Experience working with data analysis, reporting, or technical information.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to investigate problems and identify practical solutions.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to produce clear and accurate reports.
  • A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse network performance data and produce meaningful insights to support operational improvements.
  • Conduct post-event reviews of supply interruptions, identifying causes, impacts, and lessons learned.
  • Support regulatory reporting requirements associated with low pressure, supply interruptions, and mains repairs.
  • Assist with hydraulic and network analysis using Infoworks WS Pro (full training provided).
  • Identify trends and provide recommendations to improve network performance and mitigate future incidents.
  • Support incident management activities by providing network intelligence and reporting.
  • Maintain and review Low Pressure Registers, ensuring customer records and investigations are accurately documented.
  • Analyse pressure monitoring data and identify maintenance or replacement requirements for network monitoring equipment.
  • Manage and report Guaranteed Standards Scheme (GSS) payments for eligible customers.
  • Record planned network interruptions and inform customers within set timescales.
  • Support accurate reporting of water network activities (mains repairs).

Job Role

We're looking for a Network Reporting Analyst to join our team in Exeter and play a key role in supporting the performance, reporting, and analysis of our water distribution network.

This is an exciting opportunity for a data-driven and analytical individual who enjoys turning complex information into actionable insight. You'll help ensure the accuracy of key regulatory reporting, support operational decision-making, and contribute towards achieving critical performance targets that impact both our customers and the business.

What You'll Be Doing

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong analytical capability with excellent attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.

You will ideally have:

Essential Requirements
