Job summary

Portsmouth Water is seeking a Meter Technician to join our Network department. You will deliver meter survey work, installations, replacements and exchanges, ensuring compliance with procedures and regulatory standards. You’ll complete reporting, maintain data quality and support the network team to meet objectives.

You will need a full UK driving licence, BPSS pre-employment checks, and be comfortable with flexible working. Portsmouth Water offers a range of wellbeing and financial benefits.

Responsibilities

• Undertake network activities in a timely, safe and considerate manner
• Perform operations aligned with PW policies and procedures
• Maintain customer communications and ensure data is captured and processed
• Complete risk and COSH assessments per PW expectations
• Deliver customer service excellence across all activities
• Accurately complete IFS work orders and RCW data
• Assist Network team to achieve planned outcomes
• Undertake meter installation, replacement and exchange surveys and reporting
• Use approved processes and equipment for meter works and document outcomes
• Complete reporting and follow defined work category processes
• Assist with ad-hoc duties within meter activity as required by management
