Job summary

OnSite is seeking motivated Water Meter Technicians to install, replace and maintain domestic water meters for South Staffs Water. You will work across a designated area, visiting homes and ensuring safe, efficient, high-standard service while providing excellent customer care.

The role requires practical plumbing knowledge, a Full UK Driving Licence, and the ability to work independently with strong communication skills. 40 hours per week in Tipton location.

Qualifications

• Requires NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or equivalent qualification.
• Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong practical and problem-solving skills; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Install and exchange water meters in domestic properties.
• Inspect metering installations and identify defects or maintenance needs.
• Carry out basic plumbing alterations for meter installations.
• Record work accurately using handheld devices and company systems.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Explain work activities to customers and address queries.
• Identify and report issues affecting service delivery, quality or safety.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment in good condition.
• Manage workload to meet productivity targets.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and best practices.
• Represent OnSite and South Staffs Water professionally at all times.
