Job summary

Kier Group plc in Blackburn is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team delivering water MEICA projects. You will perform electrical inspections, commissioning of power and ICA control systems, and support start-ups.

You should hold City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 and an ECS (JIB) Gold Card, with experience in water processing commissioning and safety qualifications; strong fault finding, documentation, and collaborative skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 and ECS (JIB) Gold Card required.
• Experience commissioning water MEICA projects.
• Safety qualifications such as IOSH, SSSTS or SMSTS preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and good documentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork in multi-discipline projects.

Responsibilities

• Electrical inspection of cable terminations and glading; produce as-built drawings.
• Test and commission electrical power and control systems including pumps and meters.
• Initial start-up and wet commissioning of pumps and other process equipment.
• Identify and resolve electrical issues through fault finding.
• Ensure compliance with Electrical Site Safety Rules and regulations.
