Job summary

Example Recruitment are partnering with a major UK client to recruit a Quantity Surveyor for water treatment projects. The role involves supporting commercial delivery across the full project lifecycle, with a focus on NEC3/NEC4 contracts, cost control, and stakeholder engagement.

The position offers hybrid working with a mix of home working, client office visits, and site attendance as required, within the North & Midlands region.

Qualifications

• Strong NEC3/NEC4 contracts knowledge.
• Experience delivering post-contract QS duties on infrastructure projects.
• Excellent cost control and value engineering skills.
• Confident communicator with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Quantity Surveyor in managing projects through full lifecycle.
• Act as a key contact for clients and build trusted relationships.
• Manage projects under NEC3/NEC4 forms of contract.
• Undertake estimating and cost planning activities as required.
• Provide procurement advice and support to the commercial team.
• Prepare and review tender documentation to ensure accuracy.
• Manage contract administration and cost control processes.
• Produce accurate cost reports and forecasts for stakeholders.
• Support final account negotiations and agreements with clients.
• Attend client meetings and conduct site visits as needed.
• Lead or contribute to multiple projects simultaneously.
