Job summary

AFECO is seeking a CAD Technician in Havant to support the design engineering team on water and wastewater projects. You will prepare design drawings, develop technical CAD solutions, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient project delivery.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate ability in 2D CAD software, e.g. AutoCAD Lt.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Understand water industry standards and guidance (CIWEM/CESWI).
• Sound understanding of civil engineering design principles and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop design drawings and technical solutions for civil projects.
• Assist in developing practical design solutions for water/wastewater infra.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of project designs.
• Resolve CAD-related issues and respond to queries on assigned projects.
• Attend engineering events to stay updated on new technologies and best practices.
• Follow ISO 9001 quality procedures and ISO 19650/14001 standards.
• Support PCI data reviews and information provision by clients.
