Job summary

AFECO is seeking a CAD Technician in Havant, Hampshire to prepare and develop design drawings and technical solutions for civil water and wastewater projects, supporting the Design Engineering team with CAD activities. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery and maintain QA in line with ISO 9001.

The role requires 2D CAD (AutoCAD LT), MS Office, and knowledge of UK water standards (CIWEM, CESWI) and ISO 19650/14001.

Qualifications

• Proficient in 2D CAD drawing and CAD software (AutoCAD LT).
• Good MS Office skills and document control.
• Understanding of ISO 9001, 19650 and 14001 and water industry standards.
• Knowledge of UK Water Industry Guidance; civil engineering design principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop design drawings and CAD solutions for civil projects.
• Support Design Engineering with CAD activities for water/wastewater schemes.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to meet deadlines.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of overall project design.
• Address CAD-related queries and assist with technical issues.
• Attend engineering events and implement innovative CAD solutions.
• Follow ISO 9001 quality procedures.
• Support PCI data reviews and client-provided information.
• Mentor junior team members where appropriate.
