Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to join our Water Team in the South of England, with flexible hybrid working across Aldgate, Croydon, St Albans, Basingstoke or Exeter. You will contribute to multi-million-pound water and wastewater projects across AMP8/AMP9, delivering design and engineering excellence.

You will lead electrical and ICA design activities, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets, and support long-term frameworks.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Experience in water and wastewater treatment.
• Chartered Engineer status preferred.
• Proven ability to produce, review and approve engineering reports, designs, drawings and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ownership of technical issues.
• Excellent client and stakeholder engagement with leadership and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Electrical and ICA design for water infrastructure and treatment projects; provide technical guidance.
• Delivery support: feasibility studies through construction/commissioning.
• Ensure high technical quality, contribute to bids and maintain client relationships.
• Manage project budgets, schedules and deliverables to targets.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and with clients and stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor engineers; foster technical excellence.
