Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer for its Water Team in the South of England, including St Albans, with a flexible hybrid work model. You will contribute to multi-region water and wastewater schemes, participate in AMP8/AMP9 initiatives, and collaborate with multiple utilities and Tier 1 contractors on major frameworks.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in water and wastewater treatment.
• Chartered Member of a relevant Professional Institution.
• Proven expertise in producing, reviewing, and approving engineering reports, designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Problem-solver with ownership of challenging technical issues.
• Strong client and stakeholder engagement skills with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Electrical and ICA Design: design and review electrical and ICA elements in water infrastructure and treatment projects.
• Delivery: feasibility studies, outline and detailed design, construction/ commissioning support.
• Quality: maintain high technical quality, contribute to bids and client relationships.
• Project Management: manage budgets, schedules, and deliverables to targets.
• Collaborate: work with multidisciplinary teams and clients to buy into solutions and showcase technical capability.
• Leadership: manage direct reports and mentor engineers.
