Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to join the Water Team in the South of England with a flexible hybrid working model. You will contribute to multi-million-pound water and wastewater schemes and major AMP8/AMP9 frameworks across SW England.

In this role, you will lead electrical/ICA design, support feasibility and detailed design, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects from inception to delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
• Chartered Member of a relevant Professional Institution.
• Proven expertise in producing, reviewing, and approving engineering reports, designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Excellent client and stakeholder engagement skills with team leadership and mentoring experience.
• Ability to own challenging technical issues from inception to resolution.

Responsibilities

• Electrical and ICA design: design and review electrical and ICA elements in water infrastructure projects.
• Delivery: feasibility studies, outline and detailed design, construction support.
• Quality: ensure high technical quality, contribute to bids, maintain client relationships.
• Project Management: manage budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
• Collaborate: work with multidisciplinary teams and clients to adopt optimal solutions.
• Leadership: manage direct reports and foster technical excellence.
