Job summary

AECOM in the South of England is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to join our Water Team, with a flexible hybrid working model across Aldgate, Croydon, St Albans, Basingstoke or Exeter locations. You will help deliver sustainable water solutions and contribute to multi-year frameworks from inception to delivery.

You will design electrical/ICA elements for water infrastructure, support feasibility and detailed design, and lead delivery with strong client engagement.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in water and wastewater treatment.
• Chartered Member of a relevant Professional Institution.
• Proven expertise in producing, reviewing, and approving engineering reports, designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong client and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience in team leadership, mentoring, and line management.

Responsibilities

• Electrical and ICA Design: design and review electrical/ICA elements for water infrastructure projects.
• Delivery: feasibility studies, outline and detailed design, construction/commissioning support.
• Quality: ensure high technical quality and contribute to bids.
• Project Management: manage budgets, schedules and deliverables.
• Collaborate: work with multidisciplinary teams and clients to buy in to solutions; lead technical excellence.
