Job summary

Bradley Environmental Consultants, powered by Vadella, invites applications for a Trainee Water Hygiene Technician to support our Legionella/Water Hygiene team across sites nationwide. This field-based role includes on-the-job training and strong career development in a growing nationwide business.

As part of the role, you will learn monitoring, reporting and safety practices under L8 ACOP and HSG274, with full training provided.

Qualifications

• No prior water hygiene experience required; full training provided.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for record-keeping and client liaison.
• Willingness to work at height, in confined spaces and in plant rooms (training provided).
• Must have a full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
• Willingness to undertake further training and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine water hygiene monitoring tasks, including temperature checks and flushing of outlets.
• Identify and report any deficiencies or non‑compliance on client water systems.
• Maintain accurate records and logbooks in line with L8/HSG274, on-site and digitally.
• Assist with chlorination and disinfection procedures.
• Ensure all work follows site safety procedures and risk assessments.
• Travel to client sites across a wide geographic area as required.
• Complete paperwork, job sheets and compliance documentation accurately and on time.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional client relationships.
