Job summary

Bradley Environmental Consultants in Ossett is seeking Trainee Water Hygiene Technicians to join the Legionella/Water Hygiene team. This field-based role offers full training, nationwide site work and a supportive environment to learn key monitoring skills under current L8/HSG274 guidance.

You will carry out routine monitoring, assist with chlorination, travel to client sites, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• No asbestos experience required – full training provided.
• Full, clean UK driving licence (Essential).
• Willing to travel across sites and stay away as required.
• Good written and verbal communication for record‑keeping and liaising with clients.
• Willing to work at height, in confined spaces and in plant rooms (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine water hygiene monitoring tasks including temperature checks and flushing of outlets.
• Identify and report deficiencies, defects or non‑compliance on client water systems.
• Maintain records and logbooks in line with L8/HSG274 on-site and digitally.
• Assist with chlorination and disinfection procedures.
• Travel to client sites across a wide geographical area.
• Complete paperwork, job sheets and compliance documentation accurately and on time.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional relationships with client contacts.
