GMS Services Ltd is seeking a Water Hygiene Technician to support the Planned Preventative Maintenance team across the North West with occasional nationwide travel.

You will monitor water systems, conduct sampling and servicing tasks, and report digitally using mobile tools, ensuring compliance with ACOP L8 and HSG274. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of water hygiene experience with knowledge of Legionella control and ACOP L8/HSG274 requirements.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload while maintaining high customer service standards.
• Experience using mobile/tablet reporting tools for paperless records and surveys.

Responsabilités

• Carry out Legionella temperature monitoring, water sampling, shower descaling and TMV servicing per ACOP L8/HSG274 and procedures.
• Perform cleaning, disinfection and general servicing; ensure accurate digital records within required timescales.
• Identify defects requiring remedial works and maintain vehicles, equipment, and health and safety standards.

GMS Services Ltd is looking for a Water Hygiene Technician to join our Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) team, working across the North West with occasional nationwide travel and overnight stays. You'll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of water hygiene monitoring, compliance activities and minor remedial works, ensuring customer water systems remain safe, compliant and maintained in accordance with ACOP L8, HSG274 and company procedures.

Here's a look at some of the things you'll be doing:

• Carry out Legionella temperature monitoring, water sampling, shower descaling, expansion vessel maintenance, calorifier inspections, water tank inspections and TMV servicing in accordance with ACOP L8, HSG274 and company procedures
• Complete cleaning and disinfection works, general servicing activities and digital reporting using mobile software, ensuring all records are accurate, compliant and completed within required timescales
• Identify and report defects requiring remedial works while maintaining company vehicles, equipment and high standards of health, safety and customer service across a variety of commercial environments
• Support national contracts through occasional travel and overnight stays, working across commercial, healthcare, education and industrial sites throughout the UK while managing your workload effectively and professionally

Can you show experience in some of these areas:

• A minimum of 1 year's Water Hygiene experience, with a good understanding of Legionella control, water hygiene monitoring and the requirements of ACOP L8 and HSG274
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload, demonstrating excellent organisation, time management and the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of customer service
• Experience using mobile applications and tablets for paperless reporting and surveys, together with strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with clients
• A full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel nationally and stay away from home when required; Legionella training qualifications, CSCS Card, IPAF/PASMA, Asbestos Awareness and First Aid certifications would be advantageous
