TALENT GUARDIAN LIMITED is recruiting a Water Hygiene Engineer to cover Bucks, Berks and Herts. You’ll be field-based, visiting a variety of commercial sites, performing water hygiene duties and keeping systems safe and compliant.

Salary £30,000-£33,000 plus company van, phone and expenses, with opportunities to develop your skills as the business grows. A full UK driving licence and knowledge of HSG274/L8 are desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience as Water Hygiene Engineer or Water Hygiene Technician.
• Good understanding of HSG274 Part 2 and ACoP L8.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out water hygiene duties in line with HSG274 Part 2 and ACoP L8.
• Hot and cold water temperature monitoring.
• TMV servicing, testing and fail-safe checks.
• Cold water storage tank and calorifier inspections.
• Legionella and microbiological water sampling.
• Showerhead cleaning and descaling.
• Flushing infrequently used outlets.
• Identifying non-conformances and recommending remedial works.
• Completing accurate electronic service reports.
• Building positive relationships with clients and site teams.
• Supporting wider water hygiene and compliance works.

Talent Guardian is partnering with a growing water hygiene and compliance specialist that is expanding its team across Bucks, Berks and Herts.

This isn't a role where you'll be stuck in the same place doing the same thing every day. You'll be out on the road managing your own workload, visiting a variety of commercial sites and working directly with clients to keep their water systems safe and compliant.

You'll receive a salary of £30,000-£33,000, company van, phone and expenses, alongside the opportunity to develop your skills and progress as the business continues to grow.

What you'll be doing

• Carrying out water hygiene duties in line with HSG274 Part 2 and ACoP L8
• Hot and cold water temperature monitoring

Got some plumbing experience too? Even better! It's not essential, but experience with any of the following would definitely make you stand out:

• Dead-leg and redundant pipework removal
• Minor pipework alterations and repairs
• TMV replacement
• Tap, valve and outlet replacement
• Legionella remedial works following Risk Assessments

What we're looking for

You'll ideally have experience as a Water Hygiene Engineer, Water Hygiene Technician, Legionella Technician or Water Treatment Technician and be confident working independently in the field.

You'll need a good understanding of HSG274 and ACoP L8, experience servicing TMVs and a full UK driving licence.
