Job summary

Future Select Recruitment is seeking an experienced Water Hygiene / Treatment Operations Manager for the North East of England. You will oversee planning and delivery of compliance services, including legionella risk assessments and equipment servicing, while ensuring high customer satisfaction.

The role requires proven operations management within water hygiene, strong technical knowledge of HSG 274 and ACOP L8, and the ability to lead engineers and office staff.

Qualifications

• Proven success as an Operations Manager within a Water Hygiene / Treatment outfit.
• Industry-related training courses / tickets (e.g. NVQ Level 2 Plumbing, City & Guilds (WMSoc) in Legionella Risk Assessing) preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge including HSG 274, ACOP L8 guidelines; cooling tower, closed system and steam boiler experience.
• Confident leading a team of engineers and office-based staff.
• Proficient in using IT software.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Strong client-facing experience and success.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations within a Water Hygiene / Treatment company.
• Act as a key client contact, providing general support and technical guidance.
• Monitor overall company performance and identify training needs.
• Conduct auditing on completed works to ensure compliance.
• Attend meetings with clients to discuss requirements and sell company services.
• Assist in production of quotations and tenders.
• Support recruitment and onboarding of new candidates.
• Ensure works are completed within industry safety guidelines.
• Maintain relationships with clients and assist scheduling and admin tasks.
