Job summary

Future Select Recruitment is seeking a Water Hygiene Engineer to operate across healthcare and public sector sites in Watford and surrounding areas. You will carry out water hygiene tasks, maintain records, and represent the company professionally on-site.

The role requires hands-on experience, knowledge of HTM 0401 and ACOP L8, and the ability to travel across listed locations while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in water hygiene tasks and inspections.
• Knowledge of HTM 0401 guidelines and ACOP L8 standards.
• Ability to work independently and on-site across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-planned water hygiene duties per client requirements.
• Descale showers, inspect tanks, and perform cleaning and disinfection.
• Descale outlets, flush systems, and service TMVs.

Our client is a successful and respected name within the Water Hygiene / Water Treatment industry, who have recently won new contracts in the South East and Home Counties. They are seeking an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer to operate across healthcare and public sector sites, ensuring to deliver a high level of service. Applicants must be able to work independently on site and must have a strong foundation of hands‑on experience. Ideally, applicants will have an understanding of the HTM 0401 guidelines. Experience / Qualifications:

• Hands‑on experience working as a Water Hygiene Engineer
• Can demonstrate strong technical knowledge, including HSG 274 and ACOP L8 guidelines
• Experience working within teams and independently
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Proficient in using IT software
• Hardworking attitude

The Role:

• Conducting pre‑planned water hygiene duties as per client needs
• Showerhead descales
• Inspections, cleans and disinfections on cold water storage tanks
• Outlet descales and flushing
• TMV servicing and failsafe checks
• Water sampling
• Temperature monitoring
• Keeping accurate notes on works completed and compiling into regular service reports
• Representing the company in a professional manner
