Job summary

SER Limited is seeking an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer to join their growing North East team, ideally based in or around Darlington. The role involves visiting client sites across the North East and performing temperature monitoring, water sampling and tank inspections.

A full UK driving licence is essential and plumbing qualifications are advantageous but not required. The position offers a company van, fuel card, door-to-door travel, phone, tools, uniform, PPE, pension and 28 days

Qualifications

• Must have experience in the water hygiene industry.
• Knowledge of ACOP L8 and HSG274 guidelines.
• Experience carrying out routine water hygiene duties.
• Plumbing qualifications would be advantageous but not essential.
• A full UK driving licence is required.
• Good communication skills and a professional approach to client relationships.
• Ability to work independently and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Complete temperature monitoring, including hot and cold water outlet checks.
• Conduct water sampling and monitoring.
• Carry out tank inspections, cleans and disinfections.
• Undertake showerhead descalings and disinfections.
• Complete flushing regimes and other routine water hygiene tasks.
• Identify and report defects or potential water hygiene risks.
• Maintain accurate service records and complete relevant paperwork.
