Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver water hygiene and compliance services across client sites.
• Conduct monthly temperature monitoring and sampling activities.
• Perform CWST inspections, cleaning and disinfection.
• Complete site documentation and compliance reports accurately.
• Identify issues and advise on remedial actions; liaise with clients.

The Role

As a Water Hygiene Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering a range of water hygiene and compliance services across client sites, including:

• Monthly hot and cold-water temperature monitoring
• Showerhead and spray insert cleaning and disinfection
• Domestic water sampling
• Closed system testing and sampling
• Cold Water Storage Tank (CWST) inspections, cleaning and disinfection
• Carrying out surveys of water systems and supplies in accordance with ACOP L8
• Accurately completing site documentation and compliance reports
• Identifying potential issues and remedial requirements
• Liaising professionally with clients while on site

What We're Looking For

We're particularly interested in speaking with candidates who already have experience as a Water Hygiene Engineer, Water Hygiene Technician or Water Treatment Engineer.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience within the Water Hygiene / Legionella compliance industry
• Good working knowledge of domestic hot and cold-water systems
• Understanding of ACOP L8 and current water hygiene regulations
• Experience with temperature monitoring, sampling and water hygiene PPMs
• Strong client-facing and communication skills
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload
• Basic computer/tablet skills for completing reports electronically
• Flexibility to travel to different client sites
• A full UK Driving Licence

Experience carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments would be advantageous but isn't essential.
