Job summary

212 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer/Technician to join the client’s busy team on a permanent basis. The role will primarily cover the East Midlands and reports to the Service Delivery Manager.

Responsibilities include logging work, routine monitoring (ACoP L8), collecting water samples, flushing low-use outlets, cleaning fixtures, taking temperatures, inspecting tanks, and TMV servicing. A full UK driving licence and the ability to pass a DBS check are required.

Qualifications

• Previous water hygiene/technical experience.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Must be able to pass a DBS check.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Plumbing experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Log work and complete admin tasks (tablet provided).
• Carry out routine monitoring in line with relevant standards.
• Collect water samples from customer premises.
• Perform low-use outlet flushing.
• Clean and descale shower heads and taps.
• Take water temperatures from outlets.
• Inspect water tanks and closed systems.
• Conduct analysis from closed water systems.
• Service thermostatic mixing valves (TMV).
• Localised disinfection of outlets.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer/Water Hygiene Technician to join our clients busy team on a permanent basis. This role will mainly cover the East Midlands.

Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, the role will involve:

• Complete admin tasks to log work (tablet will be provided)
• Routine monitoring in line with ACoP L8
• Collection of water samples from customer premises
• Low use outlet flushing
• Clean/descale shower heads/taps
• Take water temperatures from various outlets
• Inspect water tanks
• Conduct analysis from closed water systems
• Thermostatic mixing valve servicing (TMV)
• Localised disinfection of outlets

The successful Water Hygiene Engineer/Technician will have:

• Previous experience within the role essential
• A full UK driving licence
• Must be able to pass a DBS check
• Excellent communication & problem solving skills
• Previous plumbing experience would be advantageous though not essential.

Working hours:

• Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00
• Occasional Saturday (overtime)
