Job summary

AECOM is seeking graduates to join our Water team as Civil/Water engineers. You will undertake numerical analyses, feasibility studies, and design of potable and wastewater systems with support from experienced engineers.

You will work on site and in office, developing skills across hydraulic modelling, piping networks, and project management while pursuing ICE/CIWEM accreditation and professional growth within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering with a 2:1 classification (or equivalent).
• MEng in Civil, Structural, or a Water Engineering related MSc (civils) would be an advantage.
• Water related modules would be an advantage.
• Relevant work experience would be an advantage.
• Basic computer skills (Word/Excel) are essential; good report writing is beneficial.
• Commitment to professional qualifications such as ICE & CIWEM.

Responsibilities

• Undertake numerical analysis using computer-based programmes for potable, surface, and wastewater systems.
• Carry out technical and feasibility studies for alternative water solutions.
• Produce designs of water infrastructure including pump systems and attenuation.
• Create sketches, models, and review final working drawings.
• Stay up-to-date with regulatory legislation and guidelines affecting design work.
• Collaborate with team members on technical work, site work, and project management.
• Opportunities for site visits to understand practical design implementation.
