Job summary

Wessex Water Services is seeking a Distribution Inspector to join our Operations team in the west area. You will manage the day-to-day distribution network, including mains and booster stations, with a company van provided for region travel.

You’ll inspect assets, resolve incidents, and plan maintenance with minimal customer impact. A strong team player with a can-do attitude and flexible hours is essential.

Qualifications

• Good IT skills required.
• Full clean driving licence required.
• Effective communication essential.
• Proactive, practical problem solver.

Responsibilities

• Operate the day-to-day supply distribution network including mains, booster stations and service reservoirs.
• Plan network operations to minimise impact to the network and customers during maintenance.
• Act as the point of contact for resolving incidents and providing advice on planned and reactive work.
• Inspect and monitor assets across the west distribution area (Dorchester, Weymouth, West Dorset & Purbeck).
• Work both in and out of hours; standby work as required.
