Job summary

Wessex Water is recruiting a Repair and Maintenance (R&M) Supply Operator in Taunton to join the Network Utilities team. You will work outdoors in a two-person crew, carrying out repairs and maintenance on the water supply distribution network to keep 1.4 million customers supplied and meet quality and service standards.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with excavation, installing services/meters, pipe-laying or general building, a Streetworks ticket and a UK driving licence, and

Qualifications

Experience in excavation using hand tools, installing new services/meters, or pipe-laying.
Knowledge of general building works is advantageous.
Have a current Streetworks ticket and Health and Safety certificate (training available).
Valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Carry out repairs and maintenance to the water supply distribution network.
Work with a two-person outdoor team and ensure quality and customer service standards.
Deal with bursts, leaks, and new connections; landscaping and general building.
